"TUNE IT" is all about real life ensemble tuning problems. Most instrumentalists blame others for inferior pitch. However, most problems start "at home" with everyone of us!
"TUNE IT" starts from the premise that our ears actually are reliable; they tell us accurately when a sound is not in tune with another sound. What we fail to realize is that accurate pitch is fluid!

A simple, inexpensive electronic tuner that registers equal temperament gives players the mistaken impression that there is only one place for a note. That is false!
"TUNE IT" uses a sophisticated Peterson Strobe Tuner.

"TUNE IT" explains how understanding the scientific, mathematical part of interval and chord relationships translates into the practical realm of performing these intervals and chords with confidence and resonance in any key, major or minor.
"TUNE IT" is for all orchestral and band performers, all teachers, and all conductors. Some "gee-whiz-wow" moments come when we listen to "difference tones", where a third tone is produced by two instrumentalists playing together. Did you know that a tritone could produce a root, which is neither one of the notes being played? Do you know that the difference between a major and a minor third is only 70% of a semitone? Learn how to adjust a minor seventh interval, depending on whether the underlying triad is major or minor.
"TUNE IT" has been presented at many illustrious institutions (see below page for a list). Would you like more information?
